Office-Based Counseling

Since 1955, Saint Louis Counseling (previously Catholic Family Services) has offered the people of St. Louis specialized, scientifically supported mental health counselling services.

Our certified professional therapists are dedicated to treating the diverse mental-health issues of children and teens and have eight clinics situated around the St. Louis region, four of which are in St. Louis County. Our office locations provide scheduling for individual counselling, psychoeducational group therapy, family counselling, and Love & Logic parenting workshops.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services

Saint Louis Counseling has been offering the people of St. Louis expert, scientifically supported mental health counselling services since 1955. In our five outpatient locations, three of which are in St. Louis County, psychiatrist Claudia Viamontes, M.D., treats both adults and children.

She is board-certified, offers continuing medication management, psychiatric examination, and consulting, and treats a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Most insurance providers cover psychiatric care.

School-Based Counseling

Saint Louis Counseling has been offering the people of St. Louis expert, scientifically supported mental health counselling services since 1955. Therapists from Saint Louis Counseling are present at 110 public, private, and parochial schools in the St. Louis metropolitan region, including 44 in St. Louis County.

Our School Partnership Program (SPP) clinicians offer individual counselling sessions and psycho-educational group therapy to kids, utilising a comprehensive strategy that includes the school’s professional staff and the children’s families. The families are not charged for these in-school mental health treatments.

For students in grades K–12, our School Partnership Program (SPP) therapists offer social-emotional learning presentations upon request. The families are not charged for these preventative programmes offered at the schools. In its social-emotional learning presentations, Saint Louis Counseling frequently use the research-based and widely acclaimed curricula Second Step and BrainWise.
